Well, it's been a while since I've found the time to write on this site, and I really am not too keen on letting this site die a quite death, so I've decided that I'm going to write at least once a week here from now on.
College has been going rough on me, it has finally caught up with the classes I took back home in India, and now I have to work myself very hard in order to keep up, let alone do well. RPI certainly isn't a piece of cake, and I think I underestimated the place when I decided to come here. It seems to be a good school, and the professors here are really nice.
Hello.
It's 4:00 am in the morning as I write this entry. For anyone who knows me, you know that this means I've not gone to bed yet. For the rest of you, I'll just let you know that I cannot remember the last time I have ever woken up so early, although often i've gone to bed much later than this.
It's nearly 7:00 am in the morning, and I'm sitting in front of my computer listening to some random track of music that pandora.com is spewing out. I haven't slept yet. I'm not sleepy. Well I wasn't until a second ago.
This is just going to be a SHORT post. I'm wondering as I speak whether I should even be doing this. As I write this sentence it's 2:52 AM. I just finished reading a mass of material on a topic that lies at the intersection of IT, computer science, law, and sociology.
This is just a quick post about a person named Gary Mckinnon. He's a British Computer Hacker diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. The Wikipedia article will give you a much better idea of what exactly is Asperger's syndrome is but to put it in a nutshell, Asperger syndrome is a form of autism that often causes an obsessive interests.
I have got back from Gram Vikas, and now am in the pleasant city of Bangalore once more. There I managed to goof up a good deal of things, including an attempt to redesign the Gram Vikas website - gramvikas.org. Well, I'm going to take another shot at it, though I think the people at Gram Vikas have had enough of me, and are finally going to get some professionals to do their website.
I have'nt updated this site in a really long time, so I'm glad to be getting back to doing so. I mean there really is no point me having it and not using it for the things I had planned. I've just been really busy of late. I'm trying to redevelop the Gram Vikas website and it's not been as easy as I thought it would be. I'll write more about that later.
Recently I started playing around with a neat new tool called Inkscape. Inkscape is what is called a vector image editor.
I've been trying to find/create an image gallery for Drupal. I'm still in the process of researching the my options, and am yet to complete my comparison of all the available options. When I am done, I'll make a post that details my findings. Today however I thought I'd just share a small tip that I took a really long time to discover.
I am in the process of choosing a new site logo and am in the process of making one. So tell me what you think of the current logo. Soon I'll put up a list of possibilites, and I'd love to hear what you like and why you like it. Thanks
Today, as I sat and enjoyed my daily dose of twenty minutes of television (well, I was watching the shows on my laptop but I'm just going to call it TV), the funniest thing happened to me.
